We are delighted to present our 2012/2013 Gifts, Clothing & Caps Catalogue – our biggest and best by far.

By closely studying and adopting international best practices, we are convinced that our one-stop-total-service-offering is critical and therefore we have built our short and long term strategies accordingly.

Our goal is not to simply be a stock supplier, but rather the leading total-solution-provider in our industry and thus we have invested significant funds into new product lines, deeper stock levels, new branding solutions, improved and increased quality control procedures, internal training and numerous systems improvements.

This year marks our 13th year in business and includes our most aggressive expansion plans ever. We hope that you will take a few minutes to read through the key information below.

OUR NEW CATALOGUE

A 600 page catalogue like this one requires an explanation so that you are able to clearly understand our thoughts and inspirations.

In order to keep both you and your clients excited we need to provide you with fresh and innovative products regularly. This is not easy and so, our sourcing team constantly travels the world looking out for new ideas and staying abreast of the latest international trends.

Once new products are identified we meet with our suppliers to ensure that they can produce a quality product suited to in-house branding.

GIFTS

As the leader in the Promotional Gift industry in South Africa, it is imperative for us to maintain the gap between ourselves and our competitors and we have thus introduced over 350 new gift lines, many in multiple colourways.

Categories we have chosen to especially focus on this year include notebooks, writing instruments & stationery, drinkware as well as iPad-related products, wherein we launch an exciting new tech-centric brand: ELLEVEN

Below is an explanation of each in a little more detail:

Notebooks: this is one of the faster growing categories in our industry given the “brandability”, usefulness and longevity of these products. We have included new Eco-friendly options as well as a fabulous range of elegant and upmarket notebooks.

We are now able to deboss notebooks in-house and this will further add to the demand for these popular promotional items.

Writing Instruments & Stationery:
We have introduced a fantastic new selection of pens, pencils and stationery items in our catalogue this year. Whilst we have included some entry-level options, our focus has been to select well-designed upper-end plastic pen models where our previous selection was limited. Additionally, we have worked with our factories to create two amazing new mix-n-match pens at much lower price points.

Drinkware:
This year, we have more than doubled our drinkware offering by adding many new plastic water bottles, aluminium bottles as well as a range of metal mugs, tumblers and flasks in an array of bright, fun colours. Most notably, we are launching a large selection of high-quality ceramic mugs, all presented in matching colour boxes.

Our superb drinkware collection, in tandem with our exceptional new Digital Transfer Printing (which allows for full colour printing on white or metal mugs, bottles and flasks) will blow your clients away.

With tablets and specifically the iPad so prominent these days, we felt that it was logical to introduce a range of promotional products for these devices. As such, this catalogue offers you numerous tablet covers, folders with a section for a tablet as well as pens with a tablet stylus. They appear at various price points and we are confident that all will be extremely successful.

Allied to the above, we introduce a cutting-edge brand – ELLEVEN. Featuring a range of travel and work bags, folders and pens, ELLEVEN is a high-end, technical line that features patented ELLEVEN lining and hardware.

Besides the above, we have introduced a plethora of exciting new products across all of our categories and trust that you will be eager to start promoting them to your clients.

CLOTHING

4 years ago we felt that our clients were looking for a one-stop shop for their promo needs and therefore we introduced a clothing range dominated by two brands: Slazenger and US Basic. These brands have been extremely successful and for the last few years we have concentrated on increasing our stock levels and marginally improving our range.

For most of our clients, Amrod is their preferred gift supplier but only their 2nd or 3rd largest clothing supplier due to our range not having been substantial enough. Now that changes!

By introducing 120 new clothing styles for men and women, incorporating t-shirts, golf shirts, work shirts, sweaters, jerseys, hoodies, tracksuits and jackets, we believe that we have a range to match or beat any other.

The range includes a substantial expansion of the Slazenger and US Basic brand, but also features the introduction of our Gary Player and Cutter & Buck collections as well as Australasia’s top promotional clothing brand: Fashion Biz. See our brand write-ups (pages 2 - 5) at the start of the Clothing section for details on each of the brands above.

In addition to the above we also launch a Uniform Programme aimed at your larger clients, whereby we will design a storyboard for you to offer them. The storyboard puts forward a selection of clothing with your clients logo electronically added to each item, so that they can visualize what their potential uniform might look like. Once the concept is approved and the range is narrowed down, we will provide one free branded sample of each product selected to be a part of your clients programme. Significantly, we have also expanded our range of caps, which sees a host of exciting new options being introduced.

With a sizeable embroidery department working 24 hours a day, we now not only offer you a tremendous clothing and caps range, but also a full in-house branding solution for both.

OUR IN-HOUSE BRANDING

5 years ago, Amrod pioneered the concept of offering an in-house total-branding-solution in South Africa, through the acquisition of Quickmark.

Amrod now employs over 400 people in our Production Department working 24 hours a day to brand your goods and ensure that we can meet your clients’ needs. Whilst enormously complex and initially intimidating, in-house branding is now the standard offering all over the world and becoming so in South Africa.

More and more of our clients make use of the convenience and price advantages of in-house branding and therefore we continue to increase our capacity so that our lead times reduce.

Besides a pad printing, screen printing, laser engraving, digital printing and embroidery offering, this year we are launching 4 new branding methods, namely debossing, sublimation printing, heat foiling and digital transfer printing. Detailed explanations of each process are provided on branding explanations pages at the beginning of the Gifts section (pages 2 - 5) and it’s important to familiarise yourself with these new offerings.
